Hairdressing apprenticeMHF members follow a code of conduct so learners and employers can expect the same high quality of service, regardless of which provider they use. Equally we expect learners and employers to make a clear commitment to professionalism and responsible conduct.

 

What can employers expect from MHF members?

  • clear information on all training options and funding available
  • high quality training that conforms to national standards and is externally inspected
  • professional, qualified tutors
  • safe and secure training environments for employees
  • tailored support to ensure employees complete their qualifications
  • flexibility to plan training around workplace routines
  • administrative support to complete required paperwork

We expect employers to provide:

  • a healthy, safe and discrimination-free working environment that meets UK legislation
  • opportunity for employees in training to undertake work tasks that enable them to put their learning into practice and achieve their qualifications
  • encouragement and feedback on their employees’ progress
  • a commitment to releasing apprentices for training and examinations
  • access to apprentices by learning provider assessors for assessment, review and support

  • show respect for tutors, employers and other learners
  • respect equipment or facilities provided
  • be punctual and have good attendance
  • demonstrate professionalism in the workplace and during training sessions
